Schumann, Adolph Wilhelm (Ters)

Schumann is the great-grandson of German missionaries who came to South Africa in the mid 1800s. His grandfather and father were teachers. The family became Afrikaners.

Schumann grew up in Heidelberg near Johannesburg. He was an Accountant and lived and worked in Pretoria for over 40 years. He was the bookkeeper for the Conservative Party.

His mother was in a concentration camp during the Boer War.

He has five children. He is a member of the whites only Afrikaanse Protestantse Kerk.
