Momoniat, Ismail

Born into a politically aware family that was forced to move to Lenasia in 1965, Momoniat was involved in setting up Residents Associations and in reviving the Transvaal Indian Congress. He joined the UDF in 1983. In the late 1980s he became a critical link for Operation Vula in the Transvaal. He was a member of the SACP and the MDM.
