1830. Evidence Act No 72

This together with the CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ACT of 1828 introduced criminal laws "which were substantially modelled on those of the English system" (Dugard 1978: 253) and "adopted in the main through South Africa" (Dugard 1978: 253, note 19). See under the CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ACT of 1828.
