1982. Internal Security Act No 74

Section 46 of this act "provided that whenever a magistrate has 'reason to apprehend' that the public peace would be 'seriously endangered' by a gathering in his district he may prohibit the gathering for a period not exceeding 48 hours" (Dyzenhaus 1991: 149).
