Louw, Eugene

Eugene Louw spent 20 years in political life. He was the Nationalist Party MP for Durbanville, and later became MP for Paarl.

His first ministerial appointment was as Minister of Home Affairs in the Nationalist government, a post he held until 1991. He held the position of Minister of Defence from 1992 to 1993.

He retired completely from politics and public life in 1994, taking up his previous profession as a lawyer, practicing in Durbanville, near Cape Town.
