MK/APLA Meeting

A delegation of Umkhonto We Sizwe (MK) met with representatives of the PAC's military wing APLA in Harare on Monday 20 September. The respective delegations were led by the Chiefs of Staff, Siphiwe Nyanda and Barney Mzolo.

The meeting discussed the establishment of a Transitional Executive Council, the National Peace Keeping Force and the future defence force. The meeting could not reach any agreements on the matters due to the PAC's latest position on the TEC. The meeting agreed to reconvene in a fortnight and will include representatives of both the Transkei and Venda Defence Forces.
