This resource is hosted by the Nelson Mandela Foundation, but was compiled and authored by Padraig O’Malley. It is the product of almost two decades of research and includes analyses, chronologies, historical documents, and interviews from the apartheid and post-apartheid eras.

Reddy, Fred

Reddy moved to London from South Africa in 1957. While in London he joined the Communist Party and helped in setting up the Anti-Apartheid Movement in  England.  In 1961 he moved to Norway where he studied to become a psychiatrist. He was instrumental in setting up the Anti-Apartheid Movement in Norway.

During the 1980s Reddy returned to Africa and worked as a psychiatrist for the ANC in Lusaka and in the camps in Angola.

He currently lives in Oslo.
