Professor Harriet Ngubane is a Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Cape Town.

She has been involved in issues of land, especially working for the reclamation of land by those people who were forcibly removed during the apartheid years.

Professor Ngubane is sister to Dr Ben Ngubane, former Minister of Arts & Culture, Science & Technology.
