Gay, Lionel

Member of the Central Committee of the SACP in the 1960s in Johannesburg, Lionel Gay was arrested and charged with others at the 'Little Rivonia' trial in 1964. However, he turned state evidence and was released. He immediately went into exile. When he was living in England he made contact with the ANC again and joined the Anti-Apartheid Movement.
