Meer , Ismail

1918 - 2000

An early member of the SACP, which he later left, Meer was involved with the Natal Teachers Union, and was secretary of the Transvaal Indian Congress. He participated in the Defiance Campaign of 1952 and was the Natal President of SACTU. He was editor of The Passive Resister.
